RECORD NUMBER IN RULES OF GOLF QUIZ

A record number of 460 clubs entered the 2002 Rules of Golf Quiz sponsored by Royal & Sun Alliance and supported by The Royal and Ancient Golf Club and now 24 of these clubs are aiming to be one of the six who make it through from the Regional Finals to the Final in The Royal and Ancient Clubhouse on Sunday 17th November.

Currently in its eighth year, the quiz tests golfers’ knowledge on the Rules of Golf and continues to underline its popularity with a new record number entered from Great Britain and Ireland.

The six Regional Finals, each with four competing clubs, run from 20th October to the first week in November.

The Scottish Final is being held at Turnhouse Golf Club, Edinburgh on Sunday (October 27).

The qualifiers are:
Highlands: Banchory Tayside,
Central Region & Fife: Dunblane New
Lothians & Borders: Glen.
Strathclyde: The Ladies' Golf Club, Troon.
