Rebecca Hudson signs with IMG

Rebecca Hudson has announced that she has both turned professional and signed with the global sports management company, IMG.

Rebecca HudsonRebecca, 22 years old, has had a fantastic amateur career, representing England at both junior and senior levels on numerous occasions all over the world, in both team and individual competitions. She is also a 3-time winner of the Daily Telegraph Junior Golfer of the Year. Last year, Rebecca played on an amateur invite at the Weetabix Women's British Open, her first venture into the world of professional golf, and finished an impressive 32nd. This year, she was crowned the 2002 British Ladies Open Amateur Champion and represented GB & I in the Curtis Cup for a third time.

Rebecca is excited about the challenges ahead, "I have really enjoyed my amateur career and had some wonderful experiences but I am now excited about the new challenges offered by the world of women's professional golf. IMG look after some of the world's best golfers and the transition into the professional game is a lot less daunting knowing that I will have the support of IMG."

Vicky Cuming, International Vice President of Golf at IMG, is delighted that Rebecca has decided to join IMG, saying, "Rebecca is one of Europe's most outstanding prospects and we believe she has a very bright future ahead of her. Her amateur record is exceptional and we are really excited to be working with Rebecca as she takes this next step in her golfing career."
