NEW OPERATOR CHOSEN FOR DRUMOIG HOTEL GOLF RESORT
The directors of Drumoig Ltd., are pleased to announce the selection of McColls of Argyll to be the new operator from Monday 18th November, of their Drumoig Hotel Golf Resort: "We have reached agreement with McColls of Argyll, the Hotel and Tour Operator based on the West Coast of Scotland, to bring their experience and expertise to the ongoing development of our Hotel and Golf Course operations. We welcome the plans to increase golf visitor numbers in conjunction with their established Tour Coach Operation and other Hotels in Torquay and Dunoon, all as outlined in their M.D., Mark Wilkinson's enclosed press release." A vibrant and successful Hotel and Golf Course is seen as a key component of the integrated Drumoig facility, which also consists of the Luxury Housing Developments and the excellent golf coaching facilities of the "National Golf Academy", a wholly owned subsidiary of the Scottish Golf Union. Drumoig is a major economic contributor to the local North Fife Economy and provides employment to over 130 people throughout the development. The new management of the Hotel & Golf Resort is seen as an important step in the development of the resort offering. McColls are the owner operators of three other hotels, one located on the south coast of England and two on the west coast of Scotland. Another part of the group, is the operator of a fleet of air-conditioned coaches. The two parts of the oganisation form a group, which brings approximately 15000 visitors a year to its hotels. " We believe our unique range of skills and experience as both hotel operator and tour operator will allow us to guarantee the commercial viability of the Drumoig Hotel & Golf resort.
