Fleming (The Hirsel), pictured right, tied for fifth place in the girls'
section of the Nick Faldo Junior Series Grand Final played at Burhill
Golf Club, Surrey on Tuesday.
Louise had rounds of 80 and 81 (against the LGU par of 73) for a 36-hole
total of 181.
The winner was a Florentyna Parker, who is based in Germany and is a member
of the Gut Waldhof club. She had scores of 77 and 75 for 152, only one
shot ahead of Natalie Haywood (Rotherham).
Incidentally, a Scot, Paul Doherty, who lives in the South of Wales, won
the overall Nick Faldo Junior Series title with a birdie at the first
hole of a play-off against Alex Murrell (Eden) who also finished on 138.
Paul had won the Under-17 boys' title with rounds of 71 and 67 and Alex
had taken the Under-18 section with scores of 70 and 68.
Caroline Westrup, a 16-year-old from Sweden, was crowned the Faldo Junior
Series international champion following an LGU course record round of
five-under-par 68 on her way to a 36-hole total of 142, five strokes ahead
of South Africa's Tiffany Hopkins.
