Heather in top 6

Scottish champion Heather Stirling and twice Welsh title-holder Becky Brewerton have done much to justify their choice by the GB&I selectors for the women's world amateur team championship at Kuala Lumpur in October, by figuring in the leading six of the European women's amateur championship with one round to go at Kristianstad, Sweden on Saturday.
Becky BrewertonThe 19-year-old Brewerton (left) from Abergele has the better chance of winning the tournament as her second successive round of 70 (two under par) has put her on three-under 213 after 54 holes, only one shot behind another teenager, leader Dewi-Claire Schreefel from the Netherlands. Dewi-Clare had a 73 for 212.
Nicola Timmins, not a member of England's title winning team at The Berkshire last week, is the surprise name in third place after a 72 for 215.
Heather Stirling (right) has had three steady rounds of 73, 73 and 74 for four-over 220 and a share of fifth place.
British amateur champion Rebecca Hudson (Wheatley), expected to go out of the amateur ranks with a bang, is lingering in a tie for 18th place after a 79 for 206.
Lynn Kenny (Stirling University) has not found the course to her liking and a repeat of her second round 78 after a first-day 79 leaves her well down the field of 105, joint 61st place to be precise on 19-over 235.
Former Scottish champion Linzi Morton (Tulliallan), who will be leaving soon for the United States to try to win a tour pro player's card, as will Rebecca Hudson is back in joint 78th place on 23-over 239 after a 76, the first time she had broken 80 in the tournament. Also on 239 is the defending champion, Martina Eberl from Munich.
