Completing the squad are Clare Queen (Drumpellier), an automatic
choice after winning both the British girls' match-play and stroke-play
titles and then retaining the Lanarkshire women's county championship
this season, and Pam Feggans (Barassie) and Jenna Wilson (Strathaven)
whose performances in reaching the match-play stages of the Scottish
women's championship at Stranraer last week played a big part in
gaining them selection.
In fact, it is probably true to say that 17-year-old Miss Wilson
was not even on the short leet until she was the No 2 qualifier
at Stranraer and then went on to reach the quarter-finals.
