ENGLISH LADIES' GOLF ASSOCIATION

ENGLAND TEAM ANNOUNCED FOR THE 
EUROPEAN LADY JUNIORS TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
  
The six strong England Team for the European Lady Juniors (Under 21)
Team Championship which takes place at the Moscow Golf & Country Club
from 9 - 13 July 2002 has been announced.

The full team, to be captained by Pam Benka, who will also lead Great
Britain & Ireland's Curtis Cup team at Fox Chapel, Pittsburg in
August, is:

Rachel Bell (Ganton)
Sarah Heath (Shifnal)
Alex Keighley (Lightcliffe)
Danielle Masters (Rochester & Cobham)
Fame More (Chesterfield)
Sophie Walker (Kenwick Park)

1st reserve:		Naomi Edwards (Scarborough South Cliff)
2nd reserve:		Katie Dobson (Fulford)

Fame More, Sarah Heath  & Alex Keighley are all members of the GB & I
Curtis Cup Squad.  Alex is the current English Intermediate Champion
and Fame who was recently runner up to Emma Duggleby at the South
African Championship was the only member of the 2001 GB & I Vagliano
Trophy team to win all her matches.  All three were in the English
team that took the Silver Medal at the last European Lady Juniors Team
Championship in Italy in 2000.

Danielle Masters was one of the two girls selected to represent Europe
at the World Junior Championships in Mexico last year.  Sophie was
English Girls' Champion in 2000 and runner up in 2001, while Rachel
Bell who is currently at University in the USA was the runner up in
the British Girls' Championship in 2000.
