PRESS RELEASE
ENGLISH LADIES' GOLF ASSOCIATION
STAFFING CHANGES AT ELGA
Sue Dennis has resigned as ELGA Secretary after almost two years in the
post. Since her arrival in April 2001 Sue has led a number of initiatives
aimed at raising the profile of the organisation, not only among ELGA
members but with other sporting bodies and the general public. These have
included the creation of the ELGA website and the restyled newsletter.
Sue said it had been a great privilege to work for the governing body
for ladies' amateur golf in England, but is looking forward to new challenges.
Sue's departure and Claire Lilley's move from Tournament Secretary to
Start Manager have resulted in a number of changes at ELGA's headquarters
in Birmingham.
Pauline Perla who has been with ELGA since 1998, originally as Assistant
Secretary and more recently as Administration Manager, becomes the Acting
Secretary.
Nottinghamshire county player, Jill de Villiers, joins the team in January
2003 as Tournament Secretary.
