NEW ELGA VICE CHAIRMAN ANNOUNCED

The next Vice Chairman of the English Ladies‚ Golf Association is to be Cathy Bowerbank. She played County Golf for both Yorkshire & Durham between 1962 and 1988 and is a former Champion of both Countiesˆ Yorkshire, in 1966 and Durham in 1973. She represented England in the Girls‚ International Matches in 1962 and was Girls‚ Captain in the Yorkshire Junior Golfing Society in 1966/7. She is currently a member of ELGA‚s Junior Girls Committee and also represents ELGA on the Council of the Golf Foundation and on the Committee of the England Junior Golf Partnership. She takes over as ELGA Vice Chairman in December when Joy Hunter becomes Chairman.
