ENGLISH LADIES' CLOSE AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

LITTLESTONE GOLF CLUB : 12 - 16 AUGUST 2002

Kerry Knowles (Worplesdon) defeated Chloe Court (Goodwood) 6/5 in the final of the AEG English Ladies' Close Amateur Championship at Littlestone. Chloe won the first when she pitched in for an eagle two but was back to all square after taking three putts at the third. Kerry won three consecutive holes from the sixth, then went four up at the tenth. Birdies at the eleventh and thirteenth then secured Kerry's win.
