D&A team
D &A team in navy blue sweaters
L to R Fiona Cowan (county captain), Helen Faulds (Bearsden), Fiona McLean (Hilton Park), Sara Bishop (Windyhill), Louisa Ruane (Cardross), Claire Hargan (Prestonfield), Anne Laing (Vale of Leven), Claire McNeil (Milngavie), Judy Galbraith (Cowal), Anna Telfer (county vice-captain).

Dunbartonshire & Argyll will represent the West Division in the Scottish women's county championship finals at Portpatrick Dunskey from September 20 to 22.
They won the regional title at Cochrane Castle although losing their 100 per cent record over the three days in the final match against defending champions Lanarkshire.
The exciting match finished in a 41/2-41/2 draw. The heroine for Lanarkshire was teenager Jenna Wilson, who won the last hole in her singles tie against Judy Galbraith to halve her game and provide the half-point Lanarkshire needed to gain a draw.
Lanarkshire had taken a 2-1 lead from the morning foursomes and had singles winners in Clare Queen and Lesley Lloyd but Dunbartonshire & Argyll had three afternoon wins from the experienced backbone of their line-up - Anne Laing, Claire Hargan and Sara Bishop.
Renfrewshire inflicted on Ayrshire their third defeat of the programme, winning 6 1/2-2 1/2 after taking the foursomes 2-1 and the singles 4 1/2-1 1/2

"Player of the Tournament"
Two Dunbartonshire & Argyll players, Anne Laing and Sara Bishop, shared the unofficial "player of the tournament" honours, each with six wins out of six for the title-winners. The next best from the four counties' records was Addi Shamash with five wins out of five - she was not played in the opening foursomes against D&A - for Renfrewshire.
