Foursomes: C Meir & J Milne beat S Raitt & L Fotheringham 3 and 2; N Harding & E Napper beat A Hay & S Murray 3 and 2; D Butchart & M Marshall lost to S Arbuckle & A Ramsay 7 and 5 (2-1).
Singles: Meir lost to D Dewar 6 and 5, Harding lost to Raitt 2 and 1, J Yellowlees bat L Fenton 5 and 4, L Ogilvie beat Arbuckle 3 and 1, Napper lost to Fotheringham 2 and 1, Milne beat Ramsay 1 hole (3-3).

NORTHERN COUNTIES 4, ABERDEENSHIRE 5
Foursomes: L Mackay & P McLennan lost to S Wood & L Devenish 2 holes, L Walker & C Gruber beat L Urquhart & K Moggach 4 and 2; J Milne & L McKinnon lost to J Harrison & C Wilson 1 hole (1-2).
Singles: McKinnon beat Wood 3 and 2, Gruber lost to Devenish 2 holes, McLennan beat G Melvin 1 hole, Walker lost to Urquhart 4 and 3, Milne lost to C Middleton 1 hole, Mackay beat Harrison 5 and 4 (3-3).


Title-holders Northern Counties lost their opening match 5-4 to Aberdeenshire in the three-day North Division women's inter-county team golf championship at Glenisla golf course, Alyth yesterday (Sat).
Aberdeenshire took a 2-1 lead from the morning foursomes and, despite losing the top singles tie, in which New Zealander Liz McKinnon beat Aberdeenshire champion Sheena Wood by 3 and 2, they drew the afternoon session 3-3 for an overall victory.
Host county Perth & Kinross beat Angus 5-4 in a match which had a similar pattern. Perth & Kinross won the foursomes 2-1 and then drew the singles 3-3.
Angus did not field their teenage champion, Dawn Dewar from Monifieth, in the morning foursomes but she came out to win the top singles tie by 6 and 5 against P&K's Claire Meir.
